A certified (sworn) translation in Romania is produced and certified by a translator authorised by the Romanian Ministry of Justice. The translator signs and stamps every translation, confirming that it faithfully reflects the original document.

What is the difference between a certified and a notarized translation?
A certified translation carries the signature and stamp of a translator authorised by the Romanian Ministry of Justice. A notarized translation additionally includes a notary public's certificate legalising the translator's signature. The receiving institution will tell you which one it needs – if you are not sure, we will help you find out.
Can I send scanned documents?
Yes. A scan or a clear photo is usually enough for the quote and for the translation itself. If the translation must be notarized or bound to the original, we will tell you exactly what to send.
